Our International Impact
Since 2000, our international donation program has helped restore dignity, confidence, and comfort to women living with breast cancer in communities where post-mastectomy care is simply not available.
What began in 2000 as a response to a single unmet need has grown into a long-standing international effort supporting women across Africa, the Caribbean, Central America, and beyond.
Meeting a Critical Need
In many developing countries, women diagnosed with breast cancer must travel long distances to urban hospitals for mastectomy surgery. Once they return home, there is often no follow-up care, no access to post-mastectomy products, and no practical solution for living with a flat chest - sometimes on one side, sometimes both.
The post-mastectomy supplies commonly available in developed countries are virtually unheard of in small towns and villages abroad. Without international support, these women would go without.
A Global Reach, One Woman at a Time
Since 2001, we have sent thousands of donated post-mastectomy items to hospitals, community organizations, and breast cancer support groups in: Zambia, Malawi, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and other regions in need.
Each partner organization is carefully vetted to ensure the donations are reaching women who truly need them. We work closely with trusted local groups who understand their communities and can distribute items respectfully and effectively.
More Than a Donation
The impact of this program extends far beyond physical products.
Many of our partner organizations also provide education, emotional support, and advocacy, helping to break down stigma, fear, and misinformation surrounding breast cancer. Together, we are helping women feel seen, supported, and empowered.
To help our donors see the difference they are making, we request photos upon arrival of each shipment. These images remind us that every donation represents comfort restored, confidence rebuilt, and a woman reminded she is not alone.
Powered by Generosity
Our international impact is made possible by women and families who choose to donate gently used post-mastectomy supplies; often during times of personal transition (e.g., weight change), healing (e.g., reconstruction), or in memory of a loved one.
Because of this generosity, women across the world receive something they otherwise could not: a tangible gift of care, dignity, and feeling of wholeness after breast cancer.
