Our Story

What began as a mission to help women after breast cancer has grown into a generational legacy.

In 1985, Dianne launched Dianne’s Mastectomy. As a social worker and active community member, Dianne had a passion for making a difference. When she discovered that women were coming into her father’s pharmacy looking for help after breast cancer, she knew she could do something. Recognizing the gap in resources and social stigma of cancer at the time, she started Dianne’s Mastectomy to help women navigate their next steps after breast cancer – offering post-surgical supplies, support, and compassionate care for their recovery journey.

Since that time, Dianne’s Mastectomy has been a trusted resource in the post-mastectomy community, not only in Brampton but across the country. As the now longest running business of its kind in Canada, we are a leader in the industry. We provide breast prosthetics, mastectomy bras, post-surgical recovery garments, mastectomy clothing and swimwear, as well as compression stockings and sleeves for lymphedema; a condition associated with breast cancer.

Our specialized fitters work one on one with clients, fitting each with their ideal breast prosthetic to ensure comfort, symmetry, and a natural appearance. Customer service is of utmost importance to us; not only does the quality of the products we offer matter, but also the quality of the client’s experience.

Following Dianne’s passing in 2022, her daughter Sandi took ownership of the business after over a decade of working side by side together. Dianne’s passion for helping others and serving her community continues to inspire Sandi, who works to not only maintain the values that the business was built upon, but also to bring fresh ideas. By introducing innovative approaches and modernizing aspects of the company, Sandi is ensuring its growth and relevance for the future – all while keeping Dianne’s compassionate spirit at the heart of everything she does.
