How to Put On and Remove Compression Arm Sleeves
Putting On Your Compression Arm Sleeve
- Make sure your arm and skin are clean and dry
- Turn the sleeve partially inside out, with the grip top facing out
- Position the sleeve correctly at the wrist
- Slide the sleeve onto your forearm
- Once on your forearm, gradually work the upper part of the sleeve sleeve up the arm, using a gripped glove if needed
- Move the garment a little at a time rather than pulling it forcefully from the top
- Smooth the fabric as you work your way up the arm, aย properly applied sleeve should lie smoothly against the skin without folds or bunching
- Make sure there are no wrinkles, folds, or areas where the garment is bunched
- Check that the sleeve is sitting in its intended position (Tip: open a book and slide it under your arm, the top of the sleeve should be sitting in line with the top of the open book)
