Did you know that there is only ONE oncologist for 11 million people in Zambia?
Starting in 2001 Dianne’s Mastectomy has collected gently used donated breast prosthesis, mastectomy bras, and other medical supplies. These items have been graciously donated and sent to countries in Africa such as Zambia and Malawi. In Zambia specifically, a group of women battling cancer have come together to build support for the women in their community. The medical supplies donated by Dianne’s Mastectomy have gone directly to the women, doctors, and nurses of this group.
Since 2001, international connections of hope and support have grown. Dianne’s Mastectomy has given a new sense of self-confidence to the women of these groups because of the generous donations made by people like you, her customers.
Due to weight change, reconstruction and new styles/products customers purchase new prosthesis and bras. The donated bras and prostheses are still in good condition and are greatly appreciated by women who receive them.
